Why Do Internet Marketers Always RAVE About Every Freakin Launch?!

I thought this would be kind of a cool topic since I used to wonder the same thing.

You probably see it all the time, including from me.

Every few days (or maybe everyday), some marketer is telling you about how this new website is going to blow you away and change your life! How come emails are always stuffed with this stuff anyway?!

So here’s the real truth…

The reason we’re always touting the newest launch is that marketers do NOT want to promote junk! You wouldn’t want to spend an email talking about a junk product and being negative, when there are so many great sites out there you could be talking about in a positive light.

Sure, it means bigger profits, but it always means you’re sending your subscribers to something good, and long-term they will be thankful for that.

For example, I know some of my customers constantly join programs I recommend, and I’m hoping it’s because they trust I have their best interest in mind. I’ll never promote a product I feel won’t help my subscribers, though of course I’ll make a mistake from time to time.

If you adopt this philosophy, in the long run you’ll make more money too. Because when your customers trust you, they’ll join the sites and buy the products you recommend!

So yea, I just thought I’d share this little tidbit with you the next time you see a bunch of people telling you about the next “hot” new launch. I know I used to think these guys were all just doing this for some big fat commissions. And I’m sure some of them are, but also understand that most trusthworthy (keyword there) marketers also understand that they need to refer you to quality programs. So when something really good comes out, that’s why you see all these people email about it. It’s because it probably is really that good. 🙂

I really recommend you try doing this with your mailing lists too.

    Hi Solomon.
    Interesting post.
I find that I don’t rave about every launch that comes along and in fact I sometimes say – hey guys this product is launching – I think its over-hyped (happens a lot with Clickbank launches)- don’t buy it. I find this builds credibility and when I do make a recommendation to buy people find me to be believable.

One thing I do not like is on launch day when I receive a dozen emails from high profile marketers that are all cut and paste emails.

I tend to buy from people who review products properly and while it’s hard work to review everything, I find that by making an honest review, subscribers are more likely to buy from me.

A bonus offer doesn’t hurt as well

Hey Mark good to see ya here!

Yea you know there is so much to cover on this topic it was very tough for me to write on it.

I personally won’t go the route of saying don’t buy a product, but I think that’s just more of me being too nice. I certainly think that about some products sometimes.

I personally have mixed feelings about cut and paste emails, because I know some list owners aren’t confident in writing their own emails. So when a top marketer has excellent copy, it’s really hard for some folks to put their own personal spin on it and keep it effective. Or maybe they just feel the pre-written emails already do an excellent job of explaining the product. Or maybe they’re just being lazy! haha 🙂

Personally, I prefer to write my emails to add my personal touch though.

Interesting and informative article Solomon. As for me I am getting pretty tired of the many so called NEW Launches. Having been on the internet for many years, thankfully I can spot all the hype and check things out with caution. As you say, if it is from someone I trust, like yourself, I will look at it more carefully.
For the most part what goes thru my mind is: OH NO Not another one LOL. There are just too many.

@Monika Tuttle – Haha I used to have the “OH NO” mentality too. 🙂

I ultimately changed my mindset for a couple of reasons.

First, we must realize that although there are a lot of launches out there, some of these new products can help you immensely. I know some products/services I’ve purchased are worth thousands of dollars more than I paid for them. So yea, there’s a lot of new stuff to weed through all the time, but finding the right site can make all the difference in your income.

Second, these launches are INCREDIBLE lessons on marketing! Regardless of what you think about the product itself, remember that thousands (sometimes hundreds of thousands or even MILLIONS) of dollars are being made right in front of your eyes! So big launches are always worth paying attention to.

With these 2 points in mind, I’m more excited about seeing new launches than ever. 😉

I agree Solomon Hueys. Every time I am using all my social networks I always see a new tweet or something saying a new launch. It’s about the person not the product or launch. I syndicated this page all on my social networks.
