Good topic Solo. I love these social networking sites. I'll admit that it is hard to find the line between selling too much, and not enough, but it's a line well worth finding.

Hey Bob,

I have to agree with Solo. I have yet to see one of these "Paid to Network" programs that has really made it big. The problem with them IMHO is that all of the members are just like you. All looking for GPT programs. Whereas a major player like FaceBook has an extremely varied audience. This lets you reach people who are completely new to what you are selling. It's much easier to sell to someone new to your scene then it is to sell to your competition.

You've seen them and I'll bet it makes you grimace as well.

The social sites are for creating relationships and making connections..creating trust. Then you can move to marketing mode when the time is right without the "In your face promoting".

Just my opinion....what do you think?

Randy Ritter

I totally agree.

I do think we all have our own definitions of what that relationship is though. For some, just adding someone is considered that "relationship", while for others it might be having a full conversation.

And for some people, it doesn't matter what you do, if they don't know you in person, you are a spammer! :)

I do know of some people who are using social networking to build their income, and one person in particular who is exceptionally good at it.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3183','Solomon Huey','
<a href=\'#comment-3182\' rel=\"nofollow\">Originally Posted By Randy Ritter<\/a>
Hi Solomon,\r\n\r\nI love the social sites and I agree it\'s a great place to network and meet people.\r\n\r\nWhat I don\'t like is all of the people that think that it\'s solely an advertising venue.\r\n\"Buy my stuff!
