You’re right on the money with the web 2.0 sites. It’s not the most natural thing in the world for me to twitter, face book, etc. It been tough for me to get started, but thanks to young guys like you and Travis, I’m on my way. I found both your and Travis’ ebooks on Networking to be most helpful.

I have to agree with Solo. I have yet to see one of these “Paid to Network” programs that has really made it big. The problem with them IMHO is that all of the members are just like you. All looking for GPT programs. Whereas a major player like FaceBook has an extremely varied audience. This lets you reach people who are completely new to what you are selling. It’s much easier to sell to someone new to your scene then it is to sell to your competition.

I totally agree.

I do think we all have our own definitions of what that relationship is though. For some, just adding someone is considered that “relationship”, while for others it might be having a full conversation.

And for some people, it doesn’t matter what you do, if they don’t know you in person, you are a spammer!

I do know of some people who are using social networking to build their income, and one person in particular who is exceptionally good at it.
