In the past, I’ve signed up for programs where they literally make you jump through hoops and look through dozens of pages just to find some TINY footnote in the weirdest places in order to figure out how to cancel a subscription.

In some cases, I’ve even had to look through those large “Terms and Conditions” documents just to find out where to cancel a subscription.

Of course they say it’s easy to cancel when they want your money though.

I don’t really like to complain, so why am I bringing this up?

Well it’s because I’ve gotta give HUGE props to Mike Filsaime.

I bought his LaunchTree product last month and I went to cancel some of the monthly subscription stuff I got for free along with it. The cancellation process is so easy, that it makes me willing to buy his products with 100% confidence.

I also had a similar experience when I bought stuff from Stompernet too.

And I’ve gotta say, this is refreshing! It is very nice to know that there are companies/businesses out there that you can trust.

Can you guess where I’ll be spending my money in the future?

People really do value honesty, and it pays off huge when you have tens of thousands of customers who know they can trust you.

The lesson here isn’t to buy from me or Mike Filsaime (although you can certainly buy from me all you want!), but rather to follow his lead and understand that things like honesty and integrity pay off huge for you in the long term.

Nothing complicated for you today, just do these steps:

1) Run your business with integrity and honesty

2) Support the people and businesses that you know you can trust.

So awhile back I got my Butterfly Marketing Software and I am very excited and grateful that I have it.

Mike Filsaime is one of the biggest marketers in Internet Marketing, with an entire team of people and years of experience.

But even someone like Mike can run into problems!

If you were around during Filsaime’s promotion, you may have heard that SO many people rushed into the website to get their free copy of the software, that the website was down for several hours.

I was literally sitting there watching the live broadcast as his team tried to resolve the issue.

The truth is that anyone can make mistakes, even the best.

I just want you to know that it happens to everyone! What separates the average person from the successful is not what happens, but rather how we react.

The next time you run into problems, don’t get mad, don’t panic.

Sit back, take a deep breath, and a moment to relax. It’s ok to be frustrated.

Just don’t let that frustration keep you from finding a solution and blind you from achieving success.

A few weeks ago I finally took the plunge and completely changed my haircut. I’ve always sort of had the clean cut look and I’m naturally a very quiet guy, so I thought I would go crazy this time around. I ended up with a versatile haircut that I can do quite a bit with. I can even still do my old hair style, which you can see in my blog header.

So anyway… here are the final results!

So, what does MY hair have to do with you? Well it’s 2009, so it’s the time for big changes and lots of success right? The question is, what are you going to do differently in 2009 to make this your year? My hairstyle change represents the concept of trying new things, breaking your old patterns, and not being afraid of screwing up in order to achieve success.

Yes, I know it’s just hair. But the message I’m trying to share is if you want to have a better year than you did in 2008, you can’t be afraid to try something new. Whether it’s trying a new program, testing a headline, or experimenting with your mailing list, you need to break your patterns if you aren’t getting the results you want.

The point is don’t get stuck in the monotony of doing the same thing every day if it’s not moving you towards the results you desire. One of my friends, who is a devoted Multi-Level Marketer, used to tell me that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

If you look at all of the successful Internet marketers, they are always working on their latest project or experimenting with ways to improve their business. They don’t sit around, waiting for magic to happen and money to fall from the sky.

If you want to be successful, don’t be afraid or too lazy to experiment. And remember, I said try something new. I never said to quit.

So if you are struggling with traffic exchanges (for example), I’m not saying to give it up. Jumping around to different opportunities only forces you to start over with almost nothing.

Stick with it! If you like what you are doing now and believe you can succeed, stay focused on that topic. Change your routine by discovering new things about it, expanding your knowledge, and applying what you’ve learned. You could literally be just one secret away from reaching massive success. But it won’t happen unless you are willing to experiment, improve, and evolve your business to the next level.

In all, my words of advice to you for 2009:

Be versatile, be willing to explore, and stay focused.

Internet Marketing is a great way to make money. Some people turn to Internet Marketing to make some extra money while other people use Internet Marketing as their main source of income. There is a lot of money to be made and a lot of great times to be had. But not everyday is perfect. I know since I’ve had my share of bad days too.

So here are some tips to help you through those rough times, which you undoubtedly run into at some point.

The first tip to getting past a bad day with Internet Marketing is to plan for it. You should have a plan for your business no matter how small or large it may be, and part of this plan should be how you handle the bad days. What will you think? What will you do? How will you handle the situation, no matter what the situation might be? If you carefully think these questions through then you will be in much better shape when a bad day happens. This is when a plan (especially a well-thought out business plan) really pays off.

The second tip is to make sure you use it as positive motivation! When that bad day begins to unfold, you will be left with two choices: Allow the bad day to cause you to walk away (for a day or longer) or to use that
bad day to drive you to work harder and smarter. Don’t let that bad day win and make things worse! Work through it and I promise you’ll be happier with yourself at the end of the day.

Finally, you want to make sure that you learn from the bad day. Take a few minutes to understand what the cause of the bad day really is. Is it something that you could’ve avoided? Is it caused by a mistake you made with IM or is it caused by something else in your life? Understand what the true cause is and then try to come up with a solution so it doesn’t happen again. Learn from the bad day so that you can become a smarter and stronger person from it.

No one wants to have a bad day but we know it’s going to happen, so why not be ready for it? I can’t promise you’ll feel better instantly, but if you do these three things then you can turn a negative situation into a
positive experience.

We are all in business for a reason. One of the things I learned when I did multi-level marketing was to find your “why”. Why are you in business? Yes, we’re all here to make some money, but that’s not really why you do it. What will you obtain by getting all of that money?

My personal business goal is to make $10 million. But that is just my financial aspiration. The reason I want to make that much money is so that I can enjoy the rest of my life with the people I care about. I’ve always believed in good relationships, and one thing I want to be able to do in my lifetime is be there for the people I care about.

I want to be there when my family needs me. I want to be able to spend time with my friends on a whim. I want to be able to sleep in all day, go to the gym, or spend all night partying whenever I feel like it. That is what $10 million will help me obtain. I don’t want to worry about if my next paycheck will come or if my boss will let me have the weekend off to spend time with my loved ones.

$10 million dollars seems like a lot of money, but it’s a pretty simple lifestyle if I were to achieve it at an early age. I don’t need the fancy car or a big house (though those are always nice). I just want to have the piece of mind that my basic necessities are taken care of, so that I can spend my time where it truly matters.

If you truly want to be successful with your business, it is incredibly helpful to know “why” you’re doing it. Money isn’t really the answer, because all it really is are pieces of paper. Maybe you want that sense of accomplishment, prove someone wrong, help the community, or who knows what else.
